Scripture you can carry through a noisy day

Three small ways to keep the word with you between the morning page and the evening table.

The hardest hour is rarely the one we plan for. It is the hour between meetings, the hour after a difficult call, the hour when the children are finally quiet and our own thoughts are not. These are the hours scripture was made to keep us company in.

Three small practices: a card in your pocket with one verse, a single phrase you whisper while you wash dishes, a sticky note on the inside of a cabinet door. Small enough to feel almost foolish. Faithful enough to do the work.

Pick one this week. Carry it for seven days. Notice what changes — not in your circumstances, but in your interior.
